Day 4: In the land of red and green

        Another one of the thousands of things that have impressed me about Uganda ever since I was looking down from the plane was the land and its colors!  The ground here is red, RED.  It is made of clay instead of just dirt and that is why it has such a strong color.  When it gets wet it feels as if you are walking on spilled paint and becomes very slippery.  That is why when we went to the market the other day, with our Tom’s and flip flops, we all more than once nearly face planted on the piles of food, the people, or just the mud itself.  One time, one of us slipped and almost fell and all of the women around us began to laugh and laugh!  It was very funny, and now that I look back and imagine ourselves from a third person perspective I find myself laughing as well.

Pretty in Pink

Nunca las conté, pero debo tener más de 5000 fotos de flores.  Pasé por una fase donde solo le sacaba fotos a flores, parecido a lo que me pasa ahora con los pájaros jajaj. Estás son unas de las últimas fotos de flores que saqué, pero tengo para largo... así que no se cansen de ellas que van a seguir viniendo! jaja

I have never actually sat down to count them, but I probably have more than 5000 pictures of flowers.  I went through a phase in which I was obsessed with flowers... similar to what I´m going through right now with birds jajaj.  These ones are some of the latest pictures of flowers that I have, but all the other ones will last me quite a while... so don´t get tired of them because they are going to keep coming! jaja

Me encanta sacar fotos de flores! Hay tantas, de diferentes colores, formas, estilos, olores, y texturas que nunca me aburro de ellas!  Aparte, me gusta mucho sacar fotos de cerca, y es muy facil hacerlo con las flores, no se mueven...no caminan, no te pican, no se esconden ni nada!

I love taking pictures of flowers! There are so many of them, of so many different colors, shapes, fragrances, and textures that I never get tired of them!  Moreover, I love taking close up pictures of things, and it´s super easy to do it with flowers... they don´t move, or walk, or bite you, or hide or anything!
